Jenna Wheeler graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Architectural Studies in 1991. She worked for various companies in the design and construction industry doing a myriad of jobs ranging from carpenter’s apprentice, residential designer, designer of outdoor spaces including fences, decks, and solariums as well as an expert kitchen and bath designer. With years of experience, Jenna formed her own company, Concinnity Design, in 1999 where her work centered primarily on home remodels and additions as well as custom homes. Over the next five years, she worked in more than a half a dozen different jurisdictions in King County, Washington as well as surrounding communities. In 2004, she relocated to Junction City, Oregon with her family and continued her work in residential design. Beginning in 2007, Jenna started collaborating as a design consultant with Dustrud Architecture specializing in interior architecture, space planning, and color consulting. In the past seven years, Jenna has worked on more than a dozen projects with Dustrud Architecture along with numerous other Concinnity Design projects. Officially joining Dustrud Architecture this year, Jenna is delighted to continue the exciting work of the firm.
Jenna’s involvement in her community consists of having served on the City of Junction City’s Planning Commission for five years and volunteering extensively on other official Junction City committees such as the Design Committee and Citizen’s Comprehensive Plan Committee. She also served as a board member for Energizing Junction City, a non-profit focused on collaborating with other entities to bring economic vitality to Downtown Junction City. Additionally, she has volunteered for over eight years at Growers Market, a non-profit food-buying club, and served as a parent volunteer at Laurel Elementary for three years.
