The Russell
Albina District, Portland, Oregon
The Russell is a 68 unit apartment built at the site of an old gas station abandoned for more than 30 years. Restoration of the brownfield site consisted of removal and containment of contaminated soils.
Located in a residential neighborhood, Dustrud Architecture incorporated traditionally residential elements such as street edge stoops, painted window trim, and era specific exterior colors to integrate this six story building into the established housing stock. LEED Gold.
