In varying degrees each project must respond to the context, around the site, natural conditions, the client’s needs, constructability, energy usage, light, air, budget and schedule.

Engaged in working with his hands in varying capacities and different careers over the years, building, designing and studying; art, craft and architecture, Dustrud brings a unique balance of know-how when facilitating a project.

The majority of projects which Dustrud Architecture produces are light commercial and multi-family, affordable, worker, enterprise and market rate housing. This particular focus on housing over the years allows Dustrud to feel that he is contributing to society by providing durable, safe and efficient dwellings for people from all walks of life.
